Marjorie Stensgaard, 61, master of library science and beloved keeper of the Escambia County Public Library’s reference desk for 27 years, has been forced into early retirement after a patron observed her reading a book on her lunch break. The book, since classified, was reportedly “a regular-sized hardcover with a dust jacket.” Stensgaard is survived by 14,000 patrons and a coffee mug reading “SHHH.”
