Westerville North High School U.S. history teacher Greg Halverson, 39, was placed on indefinite administrative leave Monday after a student reported that Halverson had “said a year” during fifth period. The year in question, 1965, was uttered during what Halverson described as “a normal sentence about a thing that happened.” District officials confirmed the investigation is ongoing and that all references to specific dates between 1954 and 1968 have been temporarily suspended pending review. “We just want to make sure nobody’s feelings are getting brought into this,” said Superintendent Lisa Crandell, who declined to specify whose feelings.
